Flaying her for breaking all the past records of corruption in Uttar Pradesh, Congress (I) has accused Mayawati of solar energy scam. On the pretext of encouraging use of Solar Energy her government allotted huge funds. To save energy her government installed solar energy lights all over the state. But at most of the places these do not work. Even the numbers of lights installed do not match actual installations confirming manipulations and pocketing of huge money, said Congress (I). In addition Non Conventional Energy Sources Agency is generating energy. But that does not reach up to houses. In short first Mayawati government first gives subsidy for electric energy. Then install Solar Energy and yet again spend on Non Conventional Energy Sources. This not only amounts to waste of expenditure of crores of rupees but also provides full scope for indulging in corruption, said Congress (I).
