Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi while attending a Press Conference in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh on 6th February 2012 as part of his poll campaign in Uttar Pradesh said that he will not run away from the state at any cost and also that he is not afraid of anyone.
He was replying to a question about Baba Ramdev’s campaign. Rahul Gandhi said “Baba Ramdev Ji sends 4-5 people with black flags into my meetings regularly... He thinks that Rahul Gandhi will run away seeing some flags... but Rahul Ji is hearing the voices of people”.
The Congress General Secretary added “Yyou do whatever you want... throw chappal, shoot me but still I will go to the villages... do whatever you want to do... I am not afraid of anyone... I have learnt this from my grandmother... I am not afraid”.
Rahul Gandhi said that till the state of Uttar Pradesh is transformed he will not leave the state. He expressed the hope that the state will come back on the track of development of the people regain hope. Rahul Gandhi said that the people has the real strength and a political leader is just a transmitter to take the voice of the people to the relevant places. The real strength is with the people in the country, repeated Rahul Gandhi.
