Rahul Gandhi: People of UP look towards Congress (I) for a better future


Launching a scathing attack against Mayawati for running the most corrupt government, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said the people of Uttar Pradesh this time are looking forward to welcome Congress (I) to free the state from the curse of corruption and non-development. Corruption, crime and under development are serious issues for the people, said Rahul Gandhi while campaigning for the UP Assembly elections. Mayawati government failed to address these issues causing harassment to aam admi in their daily life, he further said. Mayawati did not work for the welfare of dalits, poor, OBCs and minority community either, said Rahul Gandhi.  Her concern has not been the people of the state; rather he has been busy with corporate builders, contractors and Thekedars whom she has favored for personal and party’s gain at the cost of the people. With this state of affairs, the people are waiting in poll bound state to vote out corrupt Mayawati government, said Rahul Gandhi. Highlighting that Congress (I) has vision, committed leaders and blue-print for development of the state, he assured that it will work for fulfilling the aspirations of the people and make the state No. 1 in the country.
