Rahul Gandhi: Central funds vanished in Lucknow under Maya raj

Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi while addressing an election rally in Basti, Uttar Pradesh came heavily on opposition parties, mainly SP and BSP, for ignoring the plight the poor and development of the state. “Neither Mulayam Ji nor Mayawati Ji did come to you in the past five years. They didn’t visit Bundelkhand when the people were crying for help. Both these non-Congress parties ignored the poor Bunkars too” said Rahul Gandhi.
The Congress General Secretary also said that when drought struck in Bundelkhand, Mayawati and Mulayam Singh did not go there. “I intervened and a financial package worth Rs 8,000 crore was approved by the Congress led central government but this money was looted. We sent tractors for farmers but the minister gave it to his children. All the money sent by the Congress led Centre vanished in Lucknow,” Rahul Gandhi said.
Rahul Gandhi assured that only a Congress Government can put an end to the bad state of affairs in the state.
