Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi while speaking at a huge public rally in Srinagar at Uttarakhand attacked BJP over the rampant corruption in the states ruled by it and alleged that BJP changed Chief Minister ahead of polls to cover-up for the misdeeds under former Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhariyal.
Mocking at the BJP slogan "Khanduri Hai Jaroori", Rahul Gandhi said that the BJP needed Chief Minister B C Khanduri to cover up the acts of robbers. "Khanduri is needed because the thieves need a cover-up." said Rahul Gandhi.
"BJP talks about corruption but does not see the rampant corruption in Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, where there are in power," Rahul Gandhi commented.
The Congress General Secretary also reminded the controversial issue of inducting tainted Babu Singh Kushwaha into BJP in Uttar Pradesh. Rahul Gandhi also informed the plan for a railway line in Uttarakhand if Congress voted to power.
