Rahul Gandhi: UP is ruined by the divisive polices of non-Congress parties

Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi while addressing a big public rally in Sant Kabir Nagar (Mehdawal) in Uttar Pradesh as part of his Congress campaign came heavily on SP and BSP and said that the state was ruined by the divisive policies of these parties. Rahul Gandhi argued that 22 years non-Congress rule dragged the country from top to the rock-bottom.
Referring the promise of reservation for minority, the Congress General Secretary said “Mulayam Singh Ji was mum when Congress first talked about reservation. But when Manmohan Singh Ji and Congress decided to grant reservation for the minorities, he immediately said that it was inadequate. He also said that he would have granted reservation of 28%. He was the Chief Minister in U.P thrice. Why did he not take any steps for reservation then? Without doing anything when he was in power, he now promises 28% reservation”. “Mayawati Ji says that she has written to Manmohan Singh Ji. Why she has to write letters? She was the Chief Minister and she could have taken a decision in this regard,” argued Rahul Gandhi.
“They make big promises, but do nothing. We do act but do not give hollow promises” claimed Rahul Gandhi.
