Congress gets ready for Karnataka polls


The Congress has been getting ready for the Karnataka polls scheduled to be held in 2013 in right earnest with Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi set to lead the charge.
Realising that Karnataka is one state where the Congress has far better chances of winning, the party is in the mission to gear up the cadre to accomplish the mission.
Rahul Gandhi is reportedly telling state party leaders that he would be visiting Karnataka more than four to five times till the Assembly elections in 2013.
Rahul Gandhi also had asked party leaders to set up a state-of-the-art computer data centre, which will be directly linked with his office in Delhi. This, sources said, will be used by him to get in touch with workers and leaders constantly through either chat or email.
Rahul Gandhi is very keen on bringing the party to power in Karnataka. As part of his proposed four or five visits to the state, the first likely visit could be his two-day visit on June 2 and June 3 to Hubli-Davangere.
Rahul Gandhi is also likely to interact with office bearers, elected representatives and Congress leaders separately.
