Rahul Gandhi: Congress goes to people, and just implements ideas gathered from them

Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi said that Congress implements the ideas gathered from the common people. “It is the people who give us concepts, we go to the people to know it, said Rahul Gandhi while addressing a big public rally as part of his Congress campaign in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
To substantiate his argument, Rahul Gandhi said, “There is a Congress led Government at the Centre. In 2004, after forming the government at the centre, we (Congress) came to you and enquired about your difficulties, you told us that there is scarcity of jobs in the villages. That is why Congress implemented the Mahatma Gandhi NREGA scheme. This policy ensures hundred days of job every year to the poor at a daily wage of Rs. 120,” informed Rahul Gandhi.
The Congress General Secretary then continued informing the people regarding the loan waiving off scheme for the farmers and said “We realize the strength of the farmers as well as their pain. We are aware of their hard work. That is why we went to them. They informed us that the doors of the banks are closed for them and also that they carry the burden of heavy loans”.”We therefore approved a relief package worth Rs. 60000 crore for them and opened the doors of the banks for the farmers,” Rahul Gandhi added.
The Congress leader then told the people regarding the proposed Food Security Bill. “Now we are ready with the right to food legislation. We want to ensure that no one in our country live in hunger. By this proposed bill every poor family is assured with 35kg of food grain,” informed Rahul Gandhi.
“It is the people who give us ideas, we (Congress) just implement it” claimed Rahul Gandhi. “From 2004, I have been visiting various villages, meeting the people, sharing their meals and drinking water from them. I go to the people to realise the strength of the people. Only the people in the villages can bring in changes,” emphasised Rahul Gandhi and the crowd acknowledged it with cheers.
