ALLAHABAD: Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit Allahabad on Wednesday to attend various programmes organised by different institutions.
UPCC spokesperson Jawed Urfi said that Rahul Gandhi will arrive at Bamrauli airport on Wednesday afternoon and straightaway head to Kamla Nehru Memorial Hospital (KNMH) where he would be dedicating Micro Selectron HDR Brachytherapy Equipment and Oncentra Master Plan 3 D External Beam, IMRT TPS for Cancer Treatment machine to the nation.
Rahul Gandhi will also inaugurate the Rajiv Gandhi wing in the hospital comprising ICU 8-bed, nephro dialysis unit fully air-conditioned and 6-bed daycare and 6-bed post operative ward. Besides, he will also inaugurate the 11-bed Jawahar Ward for Paeditaric Cancer.
The Congress MP from Amethi will go to Govind Ballabh Pant Social Science Institute (GBPSSI) where he will take part in a Lokgyani conference. The theme of the conference is 'Democracy and dreams of the marginals'. Intellectuals of various marginalised communities and community leaders involved in the emanicipation and social reform of grassroots will participate in the seminar.
Rahul Gandhi will also attend an interactive programme 'Sangat' during the concluding session of the seminar.
