BJP’s inconsistency results in PAC & JPC jurisdictional overlap: Congress

It is dismaying that BJP and opposition parties have been raising irrelevant and inconsistent demands for PAC and JPC in the same matter. This has inevitably led to multiplicity of jurisdiction and overlapping.  Congress party wishes to repeat two points in brief on this account. One – Initially Congress members cried from the roof tops that a PAC and JPC will inevitably have jurisdictional clashes, multiplicity, over lapse. These very persons accused Congress government of obstinacy and delay.  Later the chickens came home to roost. The mater turned full circle. A committee chaired by a Leader of the Opposition itself found a very clear overlap and a jurisdictional challenge. Now it is for them to resolve ultimately. Congress has nothing to say. The Party feels that two committees have to resolve it amongst themselves, between themselves and ultimately if at all there can be external interference it can be only by the Speaker of the Lok Sabha.
