Congress: Mayawati is also corrupt like her Ministers and MLAs

Congress (I) has said people of the state feel that there is utter corruption in Uttar Pradesh because its fountain head i.e, Chief Minister Mayawati herself is corrupt. That explains why there is no let us in the corruption and crime cases in spite of Mayawati’s so much talk about curbing such incidents. People remember Taj corridor case.  In 2003 the CBI raided Mayawati's residence in relation to the Taj corridor case, two days after it had filed First Information Report against her. This led to discovery of assets disproportionate to her known income. Where did this disproportionate assets came from, asked Congress (I).  In the past on Birthday events Maya was seen studded with gold, jewels and diamonds. This was insult to dalits and poor people who still do not have two square meals and full set of clothes to wear. Congress (I) said Mayawati government should concentrate more on people’s welfare schemes than on such show of fan fare.
