Congress takes it well to revive itself in Uttar Pradesh

There is a stress building over Congress highlight its legacy as an umbrella party that can take all sections of the society and religious groups together in purview of the upcoming Uttar Pradesh elections in 2012.
The print advertisements that will flood local dailies in UP starting Saturday are a hard-hitting commentary on the 'misrule' of the non-Congress governments over the last 22 years.
One campaign reads: "Ghar ki luti laaj ka, dum todti saans ka, patri se utre vikas ka, ab ek ek baat kaa; Jawab hum denge" (We will give a befitting reply to dishonour, suicides and lack of development).
Another goes: "Jurm ke panahgaaron ko, algaav-vaadiyon ko, vikas virodhiyon ko, apraadhi tatvon koa; Jawab hum denge" (We will give a befitting reply to those who shelter criminals, practice divisive politics and oppose development) and is seen as reference to the Samajwadi Party.
The reference is obviously to incidents during last the five years of Mayawati government. Congress has come up with punching lines to appease the masses in a big way. The ‘Rahul Effect’ will definitely come into play when the elections come near.
