Addressing a Congress workers’ meet at Babrala, Gunnaur All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi said that the non-Congress governments in UP, during the past 20 years, have pulled the state backwards. Kicking off the second phase of Congress’ Campaign in the run up to the upcoming assembly polls in the state Rahul Gandhi promised that the Congress government will lead Uttar Pradesh back to the top position again.
Encouraging the Congress workers Rahul Gandhi concluded, “I trust you. I know that you can change Uttar Pradesh. Again you can show the path for the entire country. Today states like Delhi, Haryana or Maharashtra have taken your place. But we should bring back our lost glory.” Finishing his speech he gave the war cry – Utho, Jaago, Badlo.
